The problem it exists for
A mill does not lack data. It produces an enormous amount of it, every hour, on paper and in people's heads. What it lacks is a place where that data means the same thing twice.
Production planning happens in one spreadsheet, quality in another, chemical consumption in a third, and the numbers stop agreeing the moment anyone leaves the room. I have watched dye lots re-run because a shade decision was recorded in a notebook, and orders slip because capacity was committed twice.
Every project in my register was, underneath, the same problem appearing in a different department.
What it does
Planning that knows what the floor can actually take
Finite capacity planning across the real production route, so a promised ship date is a calculation rather than an optimistic guess.
Quality as a gate, not a report
Inspection, holds and corrective action that actually stop material moving. A hold that can be worked around is not a hold.
Traceability from fibre to carton
Lot lineage carried through spinning, knitting, dyeing, cutting and packing, which is what a Digital Product Passport requires and what most compliance reporting is currently guessing at.
Sustainability evidence as a by-product
Water, steam, energy and chemical consumption captured per process stage as work happens, rather than reconstructed at audit time from utility bills.
An AI control tower
Flagging the order that is about to slip while there is still time to move it, which is the judgement a good planner makes and cannot make for four hundred orders at once.
Why me
Manufacturing software usually fails for the same reason: it is designed around how the industry is described, not how it behaves. The people building it have read about a dyehouse.
I have spent eleven years in these mills. I have planned production in an EPZ factory, cut steam consumption on single jersey, chased dia and GSM variation from knitting through to finishing, and written the SOPs that made right-first-time hold. I know which screens a supervisor will use at 7:30 in the morning and which ones will be quietly abandoned by the second week.
That is the entire argument. Not that I am the best engineer available, but that I have already built this by hand, repeatedly, and I know exactly where it breaks.
